Randall S. Hancock, Founder, President and CEO
An experienced business executive, entrepreneur and strategy consultant, Randall Hancock previously was Executive Vice President and General Manager of Global Research and Strategy for Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), the world's premier provider of proxy research and voting services for institutional investors. His responsibilities included leading the company's global proxy and sustainability research business, managing international offices in Europe, Asia and Australia, guiding product management and driving the company's business strategy. ISS was sold to RiskMetrics Group in January 2007.
Prior to ISS, Randall was Vice President and Global Leader of the IBM Institute for Business Value (IBV), an IBM strategic research center focused on developing business thought leadership for IBM's clients across multiple industries and functional areas on a global basis. He was earlier Senior Vice President of Mainspring, an e-business strategy consulting and research firm he helped grow, raise equity financing, take public, and sell to IBM Corporation. His responsibilities at Mainspring included leading the Research and Consulting businesses, managing the company's subscription-based membership programs, and leading Mainspring's strategy development.
Earlier in his career Randall created and led the Gemini Strategic Research Group, a unit of Gemini Consulting (now Cap Gemini) that provided clients and consulting teams with custom Strategic Research Studies across a wide variety of industries and topics. That organization developed out of the Gemini Consulting C4 Lab, a group that focused on the Communications, Content, Computer and Consumer Electronics (C4) industries. Before the C4 Lab Randall was a strategy consultant with the MAC Group, a well-regarded strategy consulting boutique that was acquired by Cap Gemini in 1991. He also worked as an analyst with the corporate finance group of Smith Barney.
Mr. Hancock has an MBA with Distinction from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and an undergraduate degree in economics from Harvard University.
